Business Conduct Guidelines Code of Ethics
‘As executives are increasingly called upon to certify the integrity of their organizations, ethical business leaders may have greater concern that the actions of one or more employees could eventually compromise the company.’

The Express Industrial Supplies Group (EIS) is committed to the operation of its businesses with integrity, honesty and respect for its employees, customers and suppliers. The following is a Code of Ethics which is to be used as a guiding set of principles which all employees must sign up for and adhere to. This is done to protect the integrity of the company and its employees. By establishing these guidelines we are acknowledging that our choices and actions help define EIS for others. We are ensuring that our relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and the community are built on trust. In other words, the EIS Business Conduct Guidelines are a tangible example of our values and an expression of each employee’s personal responsibility to uphold them.

Communication:
If you know of an unlawful or unethical situation, you should immediately tell your manager whatever you know or have heard.

Personal Conduct:
Express Industrial Supplies integrity and business ethics should never be taken for granted. To maintain that reputation, you must always exercise good judgement in your decisions and actions.





Work Environment:
Express Industrial Supplies strives to maintain a healthy, safe and productive work environment which is free from discrimination or harassment based on race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, disability or age. EIS will not tolerate sexual advances, actions or comments or racial or religious slurs, jokes or conduct that creates or permits an offensive, intimidating or inappropriate work environment.

 

Conducting Business:
You must be ethical and lawful in all business dealings whether you are selling buying or representing EIS in any other capacity.

Misrepresentation:
Never make misrepresentations or dishonest statements to anyone on behalf of Express Industrial Supplies.

Dealing with Suppliers:
Express Industrial Supplies does not give or receive bribes in any situation.

Reciprocal dealing:
Seeking reciprocity is contrary to EIS policy and is unlawful. You should not tell a prospective supplier that your decision to buy its goods or services is based on the suppliers agreement to buy EIS product.

Conflict of interest:
All employees are expected to avoid and report personal activities and financial interest which could conflict with their company responsibilities.





Employee Privacy:
We are committed to ‘respect for the individual’ and as such we are committed to the protection of employee private information. Management will seek authority from the individual if information is requested externally. All internet e.mails will be logged for company purposes namely viruses, etc as per the “ Use of Company Internet ‘Policy. Employees should not access another employees work space including files, without the approval of management.

Recording, Reporting and Retaining Information:
All employees are expected to act in good faith when it is in the possession of company files such as customer information, company financial numbers etc. No information is to be taken away from the company buildings either physically or electronically unless authorized by company director. The Board of Directors of Express Industrial Supplies expect all employees to adhere to the above set of guidelines, and bring to their attention, any breach or suspected breach of these guidelines.
