Environmental Policy

As environmental protection continues to gain more community attention, Express Industial Supplies believes an invigorated "YES WE CAN!" commitment from its management and employees towards environmental protection should be adopted. In doing so we have formulated the following guidelines upon which our environmental policy is based. Our ultimate goal is to ensure our activities do not have an adverse effect on the environment.
EIS is a member of "GREENFLEET". We understand & acknowledge the damage the average vehicle does to the enviroment, 4.3 tonnes of CO₂ each per year. Through this non profit organisation we neutralise the emissions caused by our fleet of vehicles by way of funding to plant 17 native trees annually for each vehicle. This action neutralises our carbon dioxide emissions, a total of 180.4 tonnes per year.

• EIS minimise and, where possible, eliminate the use of harmful substances.
• EIS minimise consumption – fuels, water, electricity and other materials.
• EIS introduces the philosophy of Kaizen (continuous improvement) and has implemented this as the foundation of its environmental policy.
• EIS conforms to government standards ensuring the community and environment come first.
• EIS has procedures in place to properly deal with environmental damage in the event of an accident.
• EIS ensures all employees take part directly or indirectly in its recycling program
