Our History

In the beginning of 1991, we established the business of Express Industrial Supplies Pty Limited in a small warehouse unit in Bryant St Padstow, with a rather large mobile phone, a small amount of second hand racking ………… and lots of energy and enthusiasm. Our aim was to fill the gap in the market for a supplier of industrial products with a commitment to having fun, quality product, complete range, value for money and great service.

We hit the ground running and soon found ourselves needing to expand in people and space. Within a year we had 3 staff and seriously required more space. Within 4 years we had 10 more staff and were working out of 3 separate warehouse units. In 1999 Express moved to our current warehouse at Padstow giving us in excess of 2300sq metres of warehouse space and ample office space for sales and administration.

In 2003 Brisbane Waters Industrial Products was acquired and Gavin Cunningham was appointed Manager for this operation with 2 branches on the Central Coast of NSW. In 2004 Moyles Engineers Supplies a company established for over 70 years was acquired, which expanded the Express network to the eastern suburbs of Sydney in Mascot. In 2007 we formalized the concept of our “can do” attitude by including the “Yes We Can!” motto into the Express Industrial Supplies logo. In 2008, Brentool Industrial Supplies was also acquired giving Express its first interstate locations with 3 branches in Victoria.
